How to Make Tabi in a Pinch
I did this for a) humor value, and b) to be helpful. Enjoy!
HOW TO MAKE TABI IN A PINCH:
Step One: Find a pair of socks you will not miss.
Step Two: Properly mourn the death of your sock.
Step Three: Try the sock on, and measure how long you want the slit of the toe to be. This should be one, cingular slit separating the big toe from the rest of the little toes. For me, it's an inch and a half because I have gorilla feet.
Step Four: Make the incision. PLEASE TAKE SOCK OFF BEFORE YOU DO THIS. Unless, of course, you're one of those weirdos that ENJOY pain.
Step Five: Turn the sock inside out.
Step Six: Hold the cut edge straight and pin. Sew on the sewing machine or by hand. Double sew ends of the seam to prevent holes from making an appearance after one wear.
Step Seven: REMOVE ALL PINS AND NEEDLES BEFORE STEP EIGHT, unless you are stupid like me!
Step Eight: Turn sock right side out.
Step Nine: Wear your brand new Tabi with pride!!!!
Well, whatcha think? Peace out!
