New 6-week Class in Conversational Japanese begins Saturday Sept. 19, 2009
Last edited by esther on Mon Sep 14, 2009 1:37 pm; edited 3 times in total (Reason for editing : Had Saturday's date wrong.)
Class Starts THIS Saturday, the 19th! Some seats still open.
From the sensei:
Konnichiwa!
Our new "Express Japanese I" class is scheduled to start this Saturday (September 19th, 10am), and we have a number of seats that remain open. Again, this new course is great for anyone wanting to learn Japanese without having to learn the writing system. That means:
No Hiragana
No Katakana
No Kanji
Our six-week express course covers all of the same material found in our regular "Beginning Japanese I" course: Introductions, numbers, dates & times, counting money & shopping, coming, going & returning... but without the writing or reading of Japanese characters.
Since this a new course, we're letting it go for a ridiculously low price ($49.00), BUT, if we don't have enough people interested in taking this course, there won't be one. If you plan on attending, please let us know by registering online:

First class is Saturday, September 19, 2009 @ 10:00 AM.

I didn't even see this until long after the fact, but I think it's really great to see a crash-course on the speaking of the language. I wish I was more readily available to take it!
Same class registering again for the week of January 5, 2010!
The Conversational Japanese class is open for registrations for the new semester starting the week of January 5, 2010. Once again, it's a Saturday morning class, 10 a.m. to noon. Classes will be held in Tampa. Online classes are also being offered.
For more information--or to register now--go to:
http://www.tokyomokyo.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=section&id=39&Itemid=48#speaking
The same page will also have information and registration links for Tokyo Mokyo's other class offerings too:
Beginning Japanese I
Beginning Japanese II
Intermediate Japanese I
These classes include learning to read and write Japanese in addition to speaking.
All Tokyo Mokyo's classes are an excellent way to introduce yourself to the Japanese Language. I've taken several of them myself and recommend the courses highly!

Thanks! It was fun...but tiring too. We went to Aruba, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, and Grand Cayman. I take my sister to the airport on Thursday.
I see on Ikimaru that RJ has been taking pictures at the Cuban Club...wonder why...
